Upgrading from Android v4.3 to 5.1 issues

Currently running 4.3 on my ham2 .. wanted to know how easy it is to upgrade from 4.3... and if it's worth getn newest version....

Actually need to go to v5.1 ... I have a cple apps that will only work on 5.0 or higher

From looking at the above site and http://www.romjd.com/ I'm pretty sure there's nothing more recent than 4.4.2 for the Mate 2, including custom ROMs, that's it.

Lollipop 5.1 came out for it a while back.....

Yup, 5.1 came out a long time ago, but apparently neither Huawei or anyone else ever made it for the Mate 2. Of course Android must be specifically built for the particular device.

OK, follow and do what's in that XDA thread, and post back how you got on if you don't mind. It sounds like you know more about this phone than me.

I see that it is a thread from three years ago, so there is a real possibility that any download URLs may have now expired.

Was gna jus try system update.. but not sure what that does to this device... Haven't needed any updates since I bought phone new...
