Upgrading phone from Droid Eris to something faster

Hi everyone, I upgraded to a smartphone finally about two months ago. I like my droid Eris for its ability to help me find places when I'm on the move, but the phone is painfully slow and often causes me problems when I'm text messaging or calling because of the enormous delay. Therefore I'm looking for something faster.

I am on the Page Plus Cellular pay-as-you-go plan which uses the Verizon network.

I own a small business and would like to be able to do the following:

- Take a picture of receipts for digital filing

- Phone number blocker

- Docusign digital document signing

- Remote desktop

- Calendar that syncs with Google calendar

- Credit card swiping through Square or Intuit


I prefer a phone that is not the newest generation if possible. Thanks for any recommendations.

Anyway, it would be better if you post some sort of budget ceiling, consideringthat being on a Pay-as-you-Go network probably means you'll be buying a device outright (no subsidies)? Because if budget isn't a problem, I'd just recommend going for the high end units: Note 2/3, S4, HTC One, Xperia Z.
