Upgrading SD card

RCrawford

Lurker
I have a Pantech Pocket phone (love it), now I am planning on an SD upgrade.

I was planning on a 32GB class 10 by Lexar bought from Amazon (not EBay).

Then I heard that 32GB cards were not as dependable as say a 16GB or even an 8 GB.

Then I heard that class 10's don't work well in smart phones.

The argument of affordability in no longer valid, as the 32GB class 10 from Amazon only $37.

So what are your thoughts?

I can't comment on the dependability of 32GB versus anything else, but I can tell that my 16GB Class 10 (purchased retail from Fry's) has been perfectly dependable, and is measurable faster that the stock 2GB Class 4 that came with my phone.

I bought a Samsung 32gb, Class 10, card a good while back and have had no problems at all. It came with a lifetime warranty, also.

You DO have to be aware that all 32gb cards are not created equal. I bought Samsung because they are a solid company. Sites like Ebay and Amazon are just resellers. It's up to the buyer to take precautions.

There are unscrupulous vendors that promise the moon, but only cheat you out of your money. Buyer beware.
