I tried to upgrade my LG Shine Plus to 2.3.3 and it failed.
Unlike other on this forum, I have a much more severe case.
THE PHONE WONT EVEN TURN ON!
During the update it got to like 4% and the phone was in emergency mode. At this point the update software told me there was a communication error between my PC and the mobile device.
So in turn it told me to unplug the phone and take out the battery, put it back in and reboot the phone. Thats all fine and dandy until I try to reboot the phone and nothing happens.
I called telus and they told me to call LG. So I called LG and they told me take it to the store and get it sent in for a software reload.
So I did so, and it turns out the phone had water damage????? So for me to repair it I have to pay telus a $150 deposit for a backup phone??? and then pay another $150 for the repair!
What do you think I can do? Im in college and have no money to just through around for a deposit, to repair the phone or to get a new phone.(as much as i want a new one)
Wouldn't LG fix the phone since the Software update caused my phone to be.....bricked?????? if thats the term for it?
