This has probably been covered before, but I'm probably using the wrong search terms.
I have a Nikon D50 that I travel with. I also tend to bring along my 17" HP laptop. Which is huge.
The Galaxy Tab 3 is a mighty nice piece of gear, and it would match nicely with my Note 2, since they both use the same OS.
What I'm curious about is who makes a really good adapter that'll plug into the Micro USB port that will allow me to upload pics from an SD card onto the Tab? I'd really like to start leaving my laptop at home when I travel internationally, it just gets to be too much.
Failing that, would a USB to Micro USB adapter work with a Nikon, plugging the camera directly into the Tab? Anyone ever tried? I'd like to keep that as sort of a last-resort option, as the speeds are a fraction of what you can get by reading the card directly, rather than through the camera.
Not only would it be really, really nice to have backups of the pictures I take, I could then (assuming I could find a killer wifi hotspot) transfer them up to Dropbox. Or a private server, whichever.
The specific Tab I'm looking at is the GT-P5210ZWYXAR. I think. God forbid they should use a part number that's easy to understand.
