UPS for your TV and Android box?

A UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) for your TV and Android TV box?

Actually, this has been a lifesaver for me!

I live in Thailand and on rare occasions, we have momentary blackouts.
(Sometimes they last longer of course, but usually, they are short lived.)

Also, for some reason, when I turn a light off or on the TV Box goes blank for a couple of seconds then comes back on.

I don't know why it happens and I don't care because now I have my TV and Android box plugged into a cheap UPS.
(Actually, the UPS cost the same as the Android TV box!)

No more flickering screens, no more 'resets' after a momentary loss of power and I can power down the device properly if there is a lengthy disruption of the power supply.

I don't know for sure, but I'll bet my hat that doing this will protect and extend the life of your fragile cheap Android TV box indefinitely.

I would recommend that, wherever you live, you should think about protecting your investment with this cheap, easy (and ugly!) option.

Great recommendation, this posting deserves a bumping to keep it active.
A typical consumer UPS, along with just being a power backup, provides good filtering/conditioning by not just circuitry but because of the battery cells inside. The only drawback being a lot of them utilize lead-acid batteries so even an average one is deceptively heavy.
