Lurker
Recently I acquired a Samsung Galaxy S2. This is the Olleh KT mobile version (M250K) The Korean model. At the moment it is running ICS 4.0.3 Korean version but I was wondering if somehow I can get it to run the International version of Android with all it's features. I'm no expert in the field of smart phones and finally decided to ask for help. The only experience I've had changing an android was when I put ICS on my Infuse 4G. I've been trying to find an answer for so long.

So yea, Is there any way I can get the International version of Android to get rid of this Korean version? I want all the features of the international. Someone please help me fast ):

Welcome to the forum DunGoofed.

I'd be wary of putting firmware for the gt-i9100 on your device. The developer of the siyah kernel made a version of his kernel which worked on the M250K. This version wouldn't have worked on the international so I'm going to assume that if kernels aren't compatible across the two devices neither will firmwares.

Hi DunGoofed!

Good old Shotgun84 is absolutely right when he says to be wary of flashing i9100 firmware to the Korean Galaxy SII, M250K.

You could easily be heading for big problems if you just used the Dummies Guide mentioned in an earlier post.

The M250K will accept i9100 firmware to a certain extent but it is not designed for your model and users have described all sorts of problems when trying this.

See this thread entitled, "[SHW-M250*] Korean Galaxy SII M250S / M250K / M250L Users" on xda developers forum, on the subject and maybe start with post #884 onwards.
