Urgent help required!!

i have a SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE and my friend sent me a txt msg 5 days ago but it wasnt retrieved properly. the msg icon shows i have 1 new unread msg but it never appears in my message inbox...please please can sum1 help me delete this msg!!??

Try going into Messaging, Settings & turning off Notifications. Re-boot and see if it's gone. Then turn it back on again.

I have the same problem with my phone, I turned notifications off and re started my phone but its still the same, No ideas what to do now.

I figured mine out today finally and its all fixed, I went to text messages and pressed search messages, typed in the first name of the person who text me, the message came up then I deleted it and bingo no more inbox message notification!!!
