URGENT: How to copy pdf files to Android desktop?

Hi again!

I'd like to copy 4 pdf files from my PC (Windows 7) directly to the desktop (or homepage?) of my Android tablet via USB.

What's the best/easiest way to do it? What folder do I copy those pdf files to?

The USB connection is working fine, I just don't know what's the right folder on my DENVER tablet.

Thanks in advance!

Fyi: The 'homepage' is called a 'launcher'
The laucher is for starting apps and veiwing wigets, not for storing/browzing files.
Just copy the 4 PDFs to a folder on the tablet that you will remember then, find them with a file manager then open with a pdf veiwer.

More info:
You asked what's the easiest way to transfer files frome windoze 7 to android is just to use explorer (the thing that you browze files on windoze) But only with a usb connection.

AirDroid is the fastest and easyist way but its trasfering but it via wifi
The best with android to android is 'Bluetooth File Transfer' I scrongly recommend it for transfering from android to android.

Depending on how its worded with your device, it'll probably be called something like internal storage or sdcard. Place it there and use a file explorer to access as already mentioned. You might be able to make a shortcut on your launchers homescreen, not sure.

The closest I could find ...

Create a folder and put your four files in the folder.

Install one of the many PDF readers available in Play Store.

Long press on the PDF reader in the app drawer and drag it to the home screen where you would like it.

Open each of the files using the reader.

Many of the readers have a "recently accessed files" list.

Now when you click on the app icon on the home screen go to the recent files list and click on it.

ES File Explorer File Manager does what you want.

You won't be able to put the actual file on the home screen but you can put a shortcut there. Install ES File Explorer then find your file wherever you stored it in ES File Explorer. Long press the file to select it and then using the "more" option, select "Add to Desktop". Easy peasey. ;) :D

Ok, so I've copied the 4 pdf files to my Andoid tablet. I guess the best (only?) way to do it is to copy the Adobe Reader icon to the launcher and then access the pdf files.

Aby other tips are more than welcome. Thanks, guys!

Just saw your posts, Thom and Lunatic. Thanks for your help!

Yes, I guess that's what I'll do: copy the icon of a pdf reader (Adobe Reader, in my case) and then access the pdf files from there. I would have preferred direct access from the launcher but this solution is fine, too.

Thanks, you guys are awesome!

As a previous poster suggested get,"ES File Explorer" so you can make short-cuts(And it's just too useful not to have for many other reasons which you will find as you use it).

Then try,"Holo Launcher".As I'm on a phone I don't know if it works on a Tablet but if it does make the short-cuts to the pdf files on your,"Home Page" and Holo Launcher allows you to stack them on top of each other and then when you press the single short-cut all four will pop-up.

And or you can place then in a bottom,"Dock" area and swipe to them.

HTH :)
