urgent - new room problem!

i did as i was told here:
CyanogenMod 9 Beta 7 For Galaxy Mini & Pop GT-S5570.
and:
Reboot your device from your recovery main menu and wait for about 5-10 minutes till it boots up
i knwo there should be white screen,
but it isnt for 5 minutes,
half an hour!
can i pull out my battrey, and turn on again?
or it isnt safe to pull out the battery?
