Help Urgent!!! Not getting sms or anything

My phone recently has been telling me that my phone storage space is low but I don't understand how that can be or what it really means? Also, over the past hour or so I haven't been able to receive text messages because it says, "Text message memory full" but I don't have a limit on the number of text messages and then I checked the box that said delete old messages so shouldn't that delete all of the messages to make room for the new ones?

I NEED HELP DESPERATELY!! Text messaging is how I stay in contact with my managers at work, my friends, and my family so I need to have this figured out ASAP!!!

You probably have too many apps on your phone. Move what you can to your SD card or undelete the apps you don't use to free some memory.

how do I move apps to my SD card because it has a ton of space on it? I assumed that all of my apps were already there.

menu/settings/applications/manage applications/all - Select your app and if it allows you to move it to SD the button will not be shadowed. You can streamline this a bit by going to the Market and downloading App 2 SD by Sam Lu, it will basically break all this functionality into a very intuitive menu that allows you to move the apps quicker
