Help urgent pls help

pls help me,
as i dial from my htc desire screen goes blank & i am unable to retrive it untill call is ended from other side.

Do you have a screen protector? Is it covering the proximity sensor? If so, try removing it. If not, no idea I'm afraid.

ps. it'd help if you put the issue in the title "screen going blank on call" for example.

ETA; not actually that urgent then
