US version review

Looks like the benchmarks confirm it...the International GS III is the top performer. Will that translate into everyday life? Probably not.

Samsung Galaxy S III Review (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint)

However, we also managed to use it under LTE connectivity, which quickly drained the battery like no other. Yeah, we appreciate the 50 Mbit/s speeds, but poor battery life is the inevitable consequence with it all.

It got a 9.3/10. Not bad. Glad I have the International version though.

Really disappointed to hear that the LTE chip is still a vampire on battery life. I was most impressed with the battery life on the international version.

I was hoping the newer LTE chipsets would be more efficient for battery life but guess not. I'd rather have the international version and use hspa+ until LTE becomes more efficient. If the next iPhone has LTE and with it's generally way smaller battery capacity, wait till the iOS folk freak lol

I'm in a 3G only area, with no clue as to when VZW will switch on the 4G, so not too worried about the battery life myself. I just want the stinkin' thing already!

BGR is a joke site, the quality of their journalism is laughable at best.

AnandTech - Samsung Galaxy S III Review - AT&T and T-Mobile USA Variants

If anything, I'd go with the Anandtech reviews. If you can read into all the technical details and whatnot, you'll be able to tell if it's right for you.

Indeed, the anandtech review is the most thorough and objective one. They are doing reviews like engineers testing devices. Many others are often subjective and like biased fanboys or haters.

It seems GSIII is a little better than One X (AT&T) in browsing, graphics tests but on par with it otherwise.

With anandtech you have to take into account that the battery tests they do are about as super heavy usage as you can get. Most people do not do anything near what the tests do to those phones. It is a good start to see pretty good battery life from the get go.

I'm feeling better about the the blue of the blue S3 after seeing some of these "real world" pics of it. Not sure if it's truly the same as the professional pics or if it's just lighting, but I was a little disappointed before I saw these recent pics of it.
