Usb charging

OK I have tried charging from my computers USB but it shows 65% after 1 HR I started at 85%. Has anyone charged this with there comp. or am I doing something wrong?

Welcome to the forums! As discussed in other threads, the N7 simply uses too much power to be charged by most usb ports.

USB desktop ports are usually 1 amp 5 watts
Laptop ports usually 0.5 amps 2.5 watts
N7 charger 2.0 amps 10 watts
iPad charger 2.1 amps 10.5 watts
To estimate the charging time take the battery capacity percentage used and divide by the amps rating of the charger . . . 4.250 50% = 2.125 @ laptop would take 4.25 hours, with iPad charger about 1 hour

Get yourself a long USB3 cord and use as an extension cord. Remember USB3 ONLY. USB2 does not work. Plug into a power strip.

I took the N7 charger cord and hooked to my kids laptop and it charged it up! I guess mine is USB2 (old) and his is new USB3 Thanks.
