USB Connection Icon Showing?

[Android Question]

Recently, my Droid Fascinate has begun showing an icon representing "USB connected" when there is definitely NO USB device connected. Now today it's showing the icon for "USB debugging connected". What is wrong (if anything) with my phone?

Hi

You may have some dirt or moisture in the USB port on your phone causing "false" contacts. Try cleaning it out carefully. A dry air gun or even a toothpick & magnifying glass. Be careful its very delicate.
