USB Connectivity Problem

Hi,
I recently purchased GALAXY POP GT-S5570
the first time when i connected to PC after installing Kies, i was able to do a backup of my contacts, a day after i got a prompt to install the new Kies 2.0.2.11071_128 (a Update)
After updating Kies.. the PC suite doesn't detect my phone..

In Phone
Settings> Wireless & n/w Settings> Tethering & Portable Hotspot>
USB Tethering is unchecked(Displays "USB connected. Tick to Tether")

when i tick tht check box for USB Tethering.. PC suite Displays "Connecting..." but it never does.(Screenshot attached)

Help me.. plz

as NA79 said ,the software has no (user) experience .(wait thats not what he said )..KIES is synonymous with annoying,crapware , buggy, .......

If you want a decent PC suite ,use My Phone Explorer

C'mon.. the software isn't any thing new... it comes with the Pack.
okay, leave kies.. how to atleast connect to the PC..?

how to atleast connect to the PC..?

depends on what you wanna do. you can just plug into pc and select 'use as disk drive' (pull down notification bar and hit 'charge only' to get options)

plus you can back up contacts to google automatically
