Help usb driver not recognised

hi, i am new to this site and found some good n genuine discussions. i need help for my cell galaxy mini ( in India launched as pop). i hav installed kies but whenver i connect my phone error comes up as usb not recognised. i tried to install driver from samsung site but nothing helped. also tried to understand properties section in device manager but couldnt find any solution.

p.s. like galaxy s3, mini/pop does not hav any settings for usb to detect as mass storage or ask on connection. also usb debugging option doesnt become futile... please kindly help..

You should have Kies open and then connect the mobile. It will automatically recognize.
Or in an easier way, just connect the usb cord and turn on USB storage from notification bar.
