usb help

hi guys..

have samsung gs2 running the latest 2.3.5 andriod

have major problems with my USB
recently was working just fine. Now when i plug the official USB lead in that came with the phone. Or the lead from my docking station.
My phone wont reconise there is a usb connected. i dont get the little icon in the notification status....
but my phone does still charge which would say to me its connected....

i have tried a factory reset. grrrrr
also tried USB debugging and mass storage
along with the *#7284# phone utility method
and just cant seem to get it to work


any advice please.....

Did the device ever get removed from the USB without doing the proper "Safely Remove Hardware"? If so and the device was writing it could have fried the port.

I would suggest trying a different computer as well as a different cable to see if either one of those are the source of the error before jumping to any conclusions however.

Yeah i have tried that.. And when plugging it in the computer said sinstaomething in the region off no driver installed for unrecognised device.... Not looking good really

I think you had an auto correct failure

You could try reinstalling the drivers for the device but I am thinking you will need to replace it to get it working again

It's being picked up tomorrow in repair on Thursday back to me on Friday... If they can't fix it there and then... They going to send a reconditioned one out
