usb host?

Any way to add USB host to this tablet? It does everything else I wanted.

What are you trying to run?
I've used a 1TB hard drive with no problems, once I reformatted to xFat

I was hoping for a way to attach my keychain flashdrive to the tablet, copy a file there, then be able to later attach the flashdrive to my desktop and read the file.

You should be able to do that with the aid of a USB host cable with no problems, as long as the flash drive is NOT formatted NTFS, which this tablet is not compatible with for some inexplicable reason.

I have done this using an OTG usb cable.

Ordered a USB OTG cable from monoprice.com ($1.34 I believe) and it worked fine. Could use my flash drive with no problems. (A friend was able to use the same cable on his Samsung Galaxy 2)

Wanted to note a wee problem I encountered with the Monoprice OTG cable...it hooks to the side, and given the orientation of the Excite 10's micro USB port, when the OTG is installed, it blocks the MicroHDMI port.

This means that when I connected my Toshiba to the TV, then tried to use a standard wireless PC mouse, I couldn't.

I found a straight OTG cable on Amazon for under a buck, I'll give that a try.

Wish Toshiba had just put the USB port in the other way around. Seems odd that way it is installed now.

I know your pain. I noticed my OTG cable does the same thing.
I wish Toshiba had made like...a couple of different decisions.
