often i go around and connect my phone to other computers without kies
my concern is how do i use my galaxy ace as a mass storage device instead of automatically charging it (computer without kies)
my i9003 has the USB settings option where we could choose as a mass storage or kies or as media player or even ask on connect ... doesnt ace have this option?

You can do that with ginger update, if I'm not wrong.

tnx but im still sticking with froyo as ive heard some negative feedbacks with ace having gingerbread

when you connect the phone to a pc go to
settings\applications\development

and uncheck usb debugging
your sd card drive should appear
