Help USB isn't working

I can't connect my Samsung galaxy fit to my pc, because my USB isn't working. My computer doesn't even bother himself to recognize this new device. Any help from anybody who knows what I'm talking about? Thanks.

Did your phone come with a software/driver CD, do you need to install those before it will recognise your handset?

Have you also installed Kies? As far as I'm aware, that's needed to manage the phone on the PC.

No need to use Kies. No need to use apps.

You can use your Galaxy Fit as a USB device if you follow instructions I made here:
