Help USB Mass Storage Toggle?

I can't seem to figure out how to example USB mass storage on this device? I only have PTP, MTP, LG Support, or Charging. Any advice appreciated!

Also, I apparently deleted some files from my phone and I want them back. Any suggestions that don't require USB mass storage mode? :(

USB mass storage is not a good option and why it was eliminated. It requires that the external sd be unmounted which can cause issues for people that have apps running from their external sd.

There's plenty of easy ways to access both the internal and external sd on any PC both wired and wireless. Try airdroid from play store (quick and simple).

  • Install airdroid app
  • connect phone to home wireless network
  • open airdroid site on PC browser
  • scan QR code from airdroid site with airdroid app
  • Done!

There's a few other options if you don't like airdroid.

Im trying to transfer files to my ps3, it shows up as an unknown device. Thanks for the help.

To transfer files to the ps3 you have to use DLNA which is built into the F6 and PS3. I've set it up in the past, but don't remember lol. You need a dlna app from play store. Aside from transferring files you'll also be able to stream video from your phone to the ps3.

I'll try to set it up when I get a chance and I'll post back how I did it.

Aside from apps running from the SD card, mass storage also causes problems when an app running from internal storage has its data on the SD card, and it's running while you're transferring data to or from the SD card from or to another device. Thr app may just crash, or it may write its data to internal storage or cause other problems from which you can't recover.

If you don't have a wifi network avilble, File Transfer may work for you. It's similar to Airdroid, but works via USB.
