usb mic for droid x? is it possible?

I would really like to be able to record interviews into my droid x... (one less thing I'd have to take with me)

Ideally - I could plug in a quality USB mic into the droid x - and then use some sort of mp3 audio recorder to tape the interview.


Anyone know if this exists or can be done?

The DX doesn't natively have a "host mode" for the USB port, which is why there are no USB accessories for it like keyboards or cameras or whatever.

That's not to say that someone couldn't hack the drivers to turn on the host mode - I think it was done on the Nexus 1 - but it will not work without some serious effort.
