Help usb mode options sgs

i've updated to gingerbread now and when i plug in my sgs with usb it doesn't give you 3 options like before, i think they were data, kies and something else. is there a way to set it to ask you what mode to use?

Unfortunately the option of " ask on connection " has been removed in the Gingerbread update. Maybe they thought we like the extra work necessary when switching between USB modes.

thanks Ray,

i had a connectivity problem with keys yesterday, hopefully it's a one off. as long as it doesn't happen again or often i can learn to live with it.

You can still manually select the different usb modes when needed by going in to settings, wifi and networks then USB and change it from there.

mine is set to kies but last time i plugged in it behaved like mass storage but when unpluged and back in it was fine, there is no ask each time....

previously it asked you each time you plugged in and you could select whichever needed.
