HI guys, not sure if it is the right place but anyway, I tried to root my little phone alcatel 903. It didn't work and instead I lost the ability to connect it to my PC. The storage option wont pop up when I insert the cable. There is no option in notifications either as it used to be. I am thinking something wrong with notifications settings perhaps. I turned USB debugging on and off but nothing. The cable works as charger ok.

I have this problem with my phone/laptop as well.
I eventually gave up and used one of these workarounds to transfer files between the two devices:

It looks like some crap was written onto my sd card and conflicted the settings. I replaced the sd card as I had a new one bought and all works fine.
Is there a way to root this phone Alcatel OT 903? It's not a very popular specimen so it would have to be a general Android rooting app that works across the board. Google says it's difficult to root for some reason or maybe even impossible but little I do know about this stuff.
