Root USB Not Recognized after rooting

cwiebe

Newbie
The root process went off without a hitch. During the root process I did have to install the hboot drivers, which also worked fine.

Now, I get 'usb not recognized' when I connect the desire to the PC. I've tried uninstalling the driver. I've tried connecting the phone to another PC that hadn't connected to the phone previously.

Any suggestions here? Is there a particular usb driver I should use?
Thanks in advance.

Have you installed HTC Sync again? That loads drivers to your pc. You can uninstall it again as it leaves the drivers on the phone.

I had the HTC bmp driver and the driver install package already listed in control panel. I uninstalled them both and reinstalled HTC Sync.

HTC sync of course reinstalled those prior to installing. It worked!
Thanks for the advice - much appreciated.
