So I recently got a otg cable so I could connect a flash drive and a ps3 controller to my phone but it seems not to be working any idea on how I can get it to work?

For the flash drive you need a file manager like ES File Explorer for to look for "USB", that'd be the flash drive.
For the PS3 controller? I think you'd need an app

I second Harry's first suggestion, ES File Explorer works wonders.

For the second one, if I understand correctly, is this what you are trying to accomplish? *You'll need your phone rooted either way* How To Connect a PS3 Controller to Your Android Phone or Tablet
