Hey guys I have a rooted nexus 4 and I bought USB otg flash drive. I know that USB otg doesn't work on the nexus 4, and I was also thinking of flashing android L. Does anyone know of a good combination of a ROM and kernel that would allow for USB otg?
It's been a minute or two since I last experimented with OTG on my N4, but I seem to recall that the kernel played a much bigger part than the ROM. I believe faux is one of the more popular kernels with the USB OTG hack built in. You can use the Fauxclock app to enable the feature.
Keep in mind that the microUSB port on the Nexus 4 doesn't output enough power for any OTG actions - you'll need to use a special-purpose "Y" cable to provide the necessary power.
I've been looking for a good 1st kernel compile project when I realized I didn't have OTG on my ms323 L70! I'm doing some searching, could faux be compiled for a lower end lg like this? Any input would be much appreciated

I don't have a clue, I'm afraid. I couldn't find anything solid when I looked around Google/AF/XDA for OTG on the L70 either. OTG functionality is very device-specific, though, so you may want to ask around in the L70 subforum.
