I have bought a cheap usb otg adapter(not cabled, just straight adapter) for my sgs2 to use with usb sticks and usb mouse and keyboard. Now everything works with it except the keyboard. Sounds stoopid but if i got the usb cabled adapter would that make any difference and allow the usb keyboard to work also??? Or might it just be an uncooperative keyboard? tnx:)

Hello jwal.

I would wonder about compatibility of all devices used with the "on the go" adapter, given that all other devices work fine except the one keyboard and the port on that keyboard is not damaged.

You can test for that (after just looking it over carefully) by use of another of the same type keyboard on that adapter.

Yes i could test another keyboad👍 Altough may have to trek out to shops and buy another usb keyboard:P

Just wondering if anyone knew of any differences between the cabled and non cabled adapters
:)

The cabled adapters work the same as non-cabled on machines I've used them on. I have had trouble a few times with the multi-port units, though.

Sometimes issues can come along with cheap stuff, old stuff, etc. Stating the obvious: the oldest, most used link in the chain will often be the weakest.

By reading various forums, I have come to know that there are only some specific models of keyboard that work on S2 with OTG.
I don't know those models though.
