Help USB port and SD card port

Sorry but I'm a newbie at this.
Tried using the ports today to uploadd some photos from my digital camera but got no response or activity at either port. What am I doing or not doing? Thanks.

Hmmm, I have never had this happen to me. Do you know how your memory card is formated (FAT32, ExFAT, or something else?)

What did you do once you put the card in the slot? It will not automatically come up on the screen. You have to access it using an app. Try using a file manager - the one that came with the tablet should do it.
