USB problem on 1.6 DOTS.

When you power down your phone, you have to wait till you feel that little vibrate, then you know it has completely shutdown, from there it is safe to plug it in and boot into download mode. To be honest you don't need to plug it in first. Just boot into download mode then plug it in!

been there done that never had a problem before. but it hung up once now neither computer recognizes it some times i have to pull the battery about 50 times till it finally sees it.
