Help USB Problem ? with Swidish Spring (2.2)

Hi

I've got 2 Orange San Franciscos (GEN1). One has been upgraded to 2.2 Swedish Spring and the other is original Orange (not updated).

I've noticed that the Swedish Spring OSF seems to have a problem (maybe) when using USB on Windows XP. When the OSF-SS2.2 is plugged in the USB port (direct on Motherboard) I choose 'Copy' on Phone and I'm able to transfer files from PC-Phone but after about 2 mins the USB on phone resets itself and and get a USB error on PC (naturally the rest of the files are not copied). When I plug the USB in-out the phone I get a unrecognised device error on the PC.

This is naturally very frustrating.

The Orange San Francisco that has the original Orange Android (2.1) works perfectly - I'm able to copy a Gigabyte without any problems.

Has anyone encountered any problems when using USB with Swedish Spring 2.2 ? or could the problem actually be my OSF-SS2.2 phone ?

You didn't notice a problem with the phone when you were using 2.1 did you?

If you took a backup of the 2.1 ROM before you flashed, you could restore that and see if that works, that would rule out an issue with the phone.

When phone was still Orange I dont think there was a problem with USB (dont remember having a problem when copying the 100MB Swedish Spring image file).

Unfortunately don't have a ROM backup.

Here's the link for the Stock Orange ROM, reflash that, see if it works.

Beware, you may lose root etc.
