Help USB problems

Hi guys, i have my new X10 since a few weeks now and i'm really happy with it. I just have one big problem. When i connect my Xperia with USB to the computer i can't see it.
Everything is installed properly and still nothing. I always need to take out the memory card to add music or videos.
It's really frustrating, you may have some thoughts. Thanks anyways.

Have you mounted the USB via the top pull down box?

EDIT: Not very helpful ^^^^

When you plug your USB lead into the PC/laptop and phone, open the home on the phone and drag down your notification bar from the top and you will see the opption to "Mount" the phone.

Click mount and then you can view all the folders on the SD card in your phone and swap and change stuff around.
