Root Usb problems

Hey all, i am having problems getting my reverb to connect to windows 8. Iv'e tried installing the drivers and even pointing the device to them manually however no matter what it displays it as unreconized. I would like to flash cwm before i go messing with too much stuff, so any help would be apreciated. Thanks!

I am having the exact same issue but with windows 7. it was working for about a week and recognizing my phone as "Samsung Android ADB interface" but now it just says unknown device. I haven't changed anything on the computer and even changed USB cables. I've tried to manually set to basically every .inf file that the driver package installs with no luck. which driver inf file should actually be used for tethering to PDAnet? Every one I have attempted gives me the error failed to start device. Not trying to hijack a thread but it seemed extremely relevant and my phone is my only source of internet where I live. thanks. =)

**EDIT** Got frustrated and uninstalled/removed every single thing that had to do with tethering my phone and started fresh. Turns out that actually worked. I have an Optimus V that I had switched back to temporarily to use wifi hotspot (haven't rooted my Reverb yet). I used to the Reverb after that but for some reason it randomly starting causing some interference. I'm posting on my PC right now using PDAnet on my Reverb.
