Help USB Tethering Using Home Wireless or 3g?

Hello,

I am wondering if when I use USB tethering my nexus to my PC am I using my home wireless network or the mobile 3G network.

Right now My phone is connected to my home wireless network.
I am typing this on my PC which is getting an internet connection from nexus.
Is my PC using my home wireless' data or the mobile 3g data?

It will use whatever data network your phone is currently connected to. So in this case, your wifi. So you are basically using your phone as a glorified wifi dongle.

Once your off the wifi network, you will (obviously) switch back to the mobile 2G/3G/4G/100G network.

What about to a tablet?

I have the Samsung Rugby phone and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, can the tab be tethered to the phone so tab can access the internet via the phone's 4G connection?

Tks
