Help USB to PC connection no longer available

As of yesterday my SG3 no longer recognizes when I plug it into a computer to transfer files. I'm using the same USB cable I was, the one that came with the phone. What happened that I no longer get the MTP/Camera screen?

I'm not rooted at this point, and unfortunately I'm using a computer I don't have admin rights on (however, this wasn't a problem 2 days ago).

I had the same problem a few days ago. I was plugging my phone in for weeks transferring files etc. then one day it stopped recognizing on my PC. I tried downloader mode and a bunch of other stuff. After it was all said and done it was simply my cable I had been using just stopped working, brought in a new cable the next day and Wham it worked. So my advice is just simply try a new cable then if that does not work then look into other options. If you look at my other threads thr is a lot of info about the problem your running into.
