Help USB trouble in 2.2

Anyone else having USB issues in 2.2?

Plugging my phone in to USB and Mass Storage for the SD works fine. However after I am done and turn Mass Storage off the phone crashes without fail.

If others are not having this issue I will backup and reinstall Froyo, just hoping to avoid that process.
 
it is an issue talked about on xda. reinstall the original kernal 2.6.32 and that fixed it for me. I tried lots of different ones and they all did this.
 
Thanks for that. I spent the better part of last evening digging around on XDA looking to see if it was a known issue. Must have read around 20 something pages digging through FroYo threads looking for it.

I'll try to reflash my kernel tonight. Think I can just flash it over top of my current install?
 
I did. But I couldn't find just the kernel, I reflashed the entire thing. Turned out well, and I didn't wipe first.
