Help Use 4.4 App on Android 4.2, Is it possible?

Hi Friends,
If you have Android 4.2 and there is an app you really want to use but it only works on 4.4 and above. Is there a way to downgrade the app so you can use it? I am not asking for anything illegal of course. Thanks in advance.! ;)

It depends whether it really needs 4.4. If it doesn't use any APIs that are not available in 4.2 it might just work anyway. But if it does then I think you are stuck, as you'd need the dev to rewrite the app.
Thanks, you were very helpful. I guess that it what I am going to have to do. If you don´t mind I wanted to ask you another quick Q for a friend. He has an LG Optimus G phone and when he connects the OTG cable to his phone so he can see the mouse pointer on his phone it doesn´t work. I told him to try another cable and he said he tried it with a LG G3 and it worked just fine, so it was not the cable. What else can he try for it to work? Thanks.

Don't know the phone in question, but is it actually supposed to support OTG? Because quite a few phones don't. Or you might have to turn on "OTG Connection" in the settings somewhere.

Hi..My friend has an LG Optimus G, but I just read that they left that off because the device couldn't send 5v back through the port. Looks like it doesn´t support it. I don´t know how I found this info all of a sudden ha ha. Thanks anyway, but would like to hear what you have to say on the subject.

Not sure of the exact technicalities, but supplying power to a device like a mouse is one requirement of OTG. If it's having to supply 5V, a phone's battery is usually only 3.6V. Although a USB mouse I've got here, states 3V 25mA on it, which does work with the Oppo phones I've got with OTG. Normally a phone receives power via USB to charge it, and there's a definite change in hardware configuration, think that's why there's an option in settings for OTG or not on phones that have it. USB-master, like a PC, or USB-slave, which is things like mice, keyboards, thumb-drives, etc.
