I want to know if its possible to use your phone as a replacement for a wirless adapter. I dont want to tether my data connection but i want to connect to my home wifi network on my computer from my phone via usb(my adapter sorta broke :p lol). Any help?
Ive tried using a tether app from the market bbut they all disable wifi when i try to use them:(

No I need something that has the pc use the phone as a wireless adapter not the other way around. Unless that's not what internet pass through is but that's the vibe I got from reading about it. And im using a droid 3

It's definitely possible, I don't know if any specific apps are required for non rooted phones, but I used my old mytouch 3g as a wifi adapter. I was running CyanogenMod, connected to wifi and then turned on the native android usb tethering. Hell, after I got a new phone the mt3g served as a dedicated adapter for several months like that.
