Help Use by default option

Certain apps such as Internet and chrome prompt you to which to use or use by default, so in this case I select use chrome by default.

However, when I restart the phone it reprompts you again.

So, does anybody know how to set it for good?

You are selecting the "Use this option by default" box at the bottom of the prompt before selecting Chrome?

Does the setting stick before you restart the phone?

Yes, it sticks before restarting the phone. It's after that it doesn't stick.

Try "clearing defaults" for both Chrome and Browser and then try to reluanch Chrome and set as default and see if it works again.

Settings > Apps > Browser > Clear defaults
Settings > Apps > Chrome > Clear defaults

I see no app that says Browser, I do see an app that says internet, but when I click that and Chrome I see no clear default option.

There's no option or the option is not selectable (greyed out)? It should be between the Cache and Permissions sections.

The Browser may be called Internet on the S3.

Make sure you scroll to the right to "All" instead of being on the default "Downloaded" tab.

The internet app, was greyed out.

I did finally see it in Chrome, (sorry trying to multi task)

I think at least for now that seems to have worked as I have restarted the phone and it's sticking.

I have had the same issue. But When I go to Chrome to clear defaults, its greyed out. Internet program is greyed out too.

When I click on a link this is what I get:

Complete action using:
Chrome
Internet
LastPass

Always /Just once

I click Chrome and Always

Then I get this:

Clear Defaults
Clear default app settings by going to Settings>Application manager>All
OK

I have gone to the App Manager and "reset apps" from the main menu and still nothing...Im frustrated.

Can anyone offere any other suggestions? Or did I miss something somewhere?
