Use F3 on AIO?

MicroSIM. To get it unlocked, call Virgin. If they won't give you the unlock code, you'll have to go to eBay and buy it from one of the people there who sell unlock codes. (Each individual phone has a different code, so no one can give you the code without having the list of IMEI vs. unlock code for the F3.)

Virgin Mobile USA doesn't currently unlock their phones. Also, since VMUSA is CDMA while AT&T is GSM, it's doubtful the phone would even be compatible with AT&T service. The SIM in this version is for LTE only, and doesn't allow you to transfer service between phones like a true GSM SIM does.

There is also a GSM version of the F3 available. You might want to look into that one to see if it would work for you.

It is still a mystery to me if the F3 has both GSM and CDMA chips inside. If it did usually they'd advertise them as a "World Phone." I have my doubts, though. However, MetroPCS is selling the GSM Optimus F3 and the F6 for $99 each. I would get the F6 if I had to choose between the two, which I did to use on T-mobile. You'll still need to unlock them, which I also did with mine. I also flashed it with T-mobile firmware.

Good luck.
