Use Lucid overseas?

Hey all, I'm going to Europe, specifically Germany, soon and wanted to know if the Lucid will work. I'm on CM10 and I saw the GSM Network setting. Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, CM10 may have the software for it, but the Lucid itself isn't a GSM supported device. I did a bit a research to prove this.

Check this out: LG Lucid 4G VS840 - Full phone specifications

"For Verizon.
This is not a GSM device, it will not work on any GSM network worldwide."

"2G Network CDMA 800 / 1900
3G Network CDMA2000 1xEV-DO
4G Network LTE 700 MHz Class 13"

So CM10 may have the option for GSM, but it's not a GSM device.

Ah well. Do you know if an HTC Thunderbolt is? My only other option is a super old BlackBerry or a free phone from Verizon.

EDIT: Nevermind, I called Verizon. The Thunderbolt is not GSM supported. Hopefully I'll have the money for a DNA by next month.

Try buying a temporary free phone for your travels or something?

CM10 has this setting available for all the GSM phones out there that CM supports. However, the different networks need a different physical antenna and radio PHY which can't be switched in software.
