In my contacts I have three Labels for contacts thus:
System Group (contains ALL GMAIL contacts)
Phonebook (people I have tagged to be included in my home phone book)
Home Phone Book (other I have tagged for home phone use)

When I select the phone icon, to make a call, and press contacts it lists the System Group.

How do I make it show ONLY the Phonebook people?

Phone runs on Android 11

Hi,
To make the phone app show only the contacts in the "Phonebook" group when you press the contacts button, you will need to change the default contact view in the phone app settings. Here are the steps to do this:

  1. Open the Phone app on your Android device.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select "Settings" from the menu that appears.
  4. Tap "Contacts to display."
  5. Select "Customized list."
  6. Choose the "Phonebook" group and uncheck any other groups that you do not want to be displayed when you press the contacts button.
  7. Press the back button to save your changes.
From now on, when you press the contacts button, the phone app will only show the contacts in the "Phonebook" group that you have selected.
