Use only 2g network

How to use only 2g network? Or switch between 2g,3g,4g? I just can switch between 4g/3g.

To use GSM (2G) only:
Settings/Wireless & Networks/More.../Mobile network settings: deselect "Mobile data traffic".

This is not true. If is traffic deselect, than phone will be completly without data trafic. I need only edge to be on.

Edge is still considered 3G afaik.

GPRS -2.5g, EDGE-2.75g. When mobile phone is connected to edge it is showed 2g simbol at mobile phone.

Do you have the option "GSM only" in Mobile network settings/Preferred networks? If so enable that plus 'Mobile data traffic' and see if it works. If not then I'm out of ideas.

^ That, or in an off chance it's not there, you can do it by going into the diagnostics (Testing) menu:

1. Open the phone keypad
2. Type *#*#4636#*#*
3. Go to Phone Information
4. Under Set Preferred Network Type, choose GSM only

I believe this setting is automatically overridden when you go to Settings>More...>Mobile Networks or if you reboot the phone.
