Use pattern instead of password when using Zenprise

Hi All,

Our IT enforce security policy using Zenprise and force me to use password each time the screen locks.
The Zenprise server check the password competabiltity with the client every 5 hours, so if I try to deactivate Zenprise as Device administrator and change the lock to use pattern after 5 hours Zenprise will cut me off and the sync with the Enterprize mail will stop.
Please help to find a solution how to trick Zenprise to use Pattern instead of password and keep the synchronization running.

Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forums - thanks for joining!

I am not sure how best to offer help on this... it must be a company phone for them to force you to use something on it, so perhaps it's best not to mess with it.

You could try setting it up so that the phone never goes to sleep (therefore you wouldn't have to mess with putting any passwords in), but this then presents you with the difficulty that, should you loose the phone, the data would be accessable.

Thanks man, its my private phone but connected to Company mail, that's why they force this policy on us.
I do want to keep the lock but as Pattern mode not the hectic password.

Thanks.

I found a solution :

Go to Settings -> Location & Security -> Device administrators -> Disable Zenprise, It shows a notification but just press yes.

Now go to Settings -> Location & Security -> Screen unlock -> Pattern

Choose your pattern.

Go back to

Settings -> Location & Security -> Device administrators -> Enable Zenprise

Now your device has Zenprise enabled and a pattern/swipe lock screen.

Hope it helps!
