In order to attach my phone (Nokia 7.1 on Android Pie) to a DAC/headphone amp, I set my phone via developer options to "use USB as audio".
I thought I'd changed it back to "use USB as charge", but perhaps I didn't. :-(
Anyway, the phone has now run out of charge, and will not re-charge or turn back on. I'm now pretty stuck. The battery is non-removable and does not charge wirelessly.
Any ideas?

There is an option for "use USB as charger" as well as the other functions I was playing around with, which suggested to me it was a case ofor one or the other. But I suppose it could just be a problem with the usb port. To help diagnose the cause of the problem - whether my fiddling around with the usb functionality or a hardware problem - can anyone answer whether the phone *should* charge anyway even if set to "use USB as..."?

A phone should still charge even if the USB is set for audio. Sounds like bad design if it won't, and it effectively kills the phone if the power runs out and charging is disabled.

Quite frankly I'd try a warranty claim, as the Nokia 7.1 is less than a year old. Just tell them it's dead and won't charge, that's what I'd do.

Problem solved. Unclear what problem was - perhaps frozen screen when powered off. Suddenly leapt back to life with 30 % charge.
Thanks for your help.
