Help User dictionary

*Noobie question on user dictionaryJust got my S3 and found some issues with entering text. Is there no way to enter new words into the user dictionary while typing like on the HTC phones. Seems only way is to navigate menus in the predictive text settings.

Words should be added to the dictionary automatically if you type in a word which isn't already present and press space.

If I type a word it doesn't recognise and I use it, it hightlights the word with a +sign before it, if I then tap the word it adds it to the dictionary.

I'm on ice cream sandwich. Using the 3*4 keyboard. It's getting really irritating now as taking ages to add words and keeps on adding spaces when have to enter single characters like s to the end of word s. Don't really want to use qwerty as has other annoying behaviours and takes even longer to type.
