Using an old phone help

I'm planning on upgrading my phone soon from the original droid. My question is, after my phone is deactivated service wise can I still use the internet requiring apps using only wifi, ie the browser, weather, pandora etc? (my younger brother wants it to play angry birds on. I would assume that would still work) thanks

Hey zah251,

Welcome to AF :D

Once deactivated the phone is still 100% functional other than for functions that it must be connected to a mobile network for (texts, calls...) You can let your brother use it as a wifi only internet device and he will still be able to play angry birds as much as he wants.

As Yeahha stated it will still be usable, but you should also perform a factory data reset to clear your account out of there otherwise he'll still have access to your email, contacts, calendar, etc. He'd also be able to buy paid apps and charge them to you.
