Using camera on a call?

I dont have an inspire but I'm on the fence about getting one. But I have an odd question about the camera on the inspire,

Can you use the camera while on a call? I have a captivate and the camera wont open while im on a call. Not a huge deal but you know when you see something funny and wanna take a pic but then dammit im on the phone and by the time I would explain that I need to hang up to use my camera the funny moment has passed.

just tried it... yup it works while on a call... but flash is disables... a compromise for sure... but one i'll take

Not really as the flash is only good in near darkness
