Hi! I have a htc Desire,which I'm very happy with. I am planning on using it when I go to Morocco again.
Last year,I had my phone unlocked via Orange(my network provider) so's I could use a 'locally' bought sim card-my plan being to access the internet whilst in Morocco,therefore avoiding a massive bill from Orange upon my return to the U.K. So,upon arrival,I purchased a sim card (INWI) which allowed me to make calls,txts,etc BUT no internet access
. I was then left with the only option of only using the internet whilst in a wi-fi free zone(namely at the hotel).
I have contacted the htc help ppl.here in the U.K. who have adviised me to search the net for networks that support GSM & UMTS & to then contact them.So far,I have had no luck and would really appreciate any helpful advice as to what to do...
I had my roaming turned on with in the phone itself & Orange are aware that I require it,so it's 'on' as part of my account with them.
I don't understand why i couldn't use my Desire to access the net & I hope I will be able to upon my return to this beautiful country..
